Stepping into the new club lounge
We’re delighted that our new club lounge is open at Micklefield Community Centre
It has long been an ambition to bring this room up to modern standards so that our members and residents in Micklefield have a social venue on their doorstep that they can be proud of.
The process started nearly 2 years ago with an idea and inspiration from a day at a football match, visiting Dorking FC. and seeing how they had refurbished their club room. From that idea I was able to secure some initial funding from Marsh & Micklefield Big Local to employ the services of local company Retsof Design. They worked closely with our members to collate everyone’s ideas and to turn them into a workable plan.
Once we had an idea of costs we were then successful in applying to Marsh & Micklefield Big Local for some grant funding. We were also successful in receiving additional funding from High Wycombe Town Committee who match funded our contribution towards the new furniture costs.
Cutting the ribbon
After a summer of disruption, we were finally able to invite High Wycombe’s Deputy Mayor Imran Hussain to officially cut the ribbon at the re-opening ceremony.

The new club lounge is home to our growing Micklefield Sports & Social Club. Their volunteers, led by Lauren & George run the bar and are putting on regular events for you all to enjoy. We have pool, darts & football teams all now representing Micklefield and using us as their base. They are always on the look out for new players, sponsors and volunteers so please get involved.
We have received a lot of positive feedback about the modern new look so come and take a look and see for yourself.
